Awwwwee Yeah, less than 24 hours until the 7th Anniversary of the Breakbeat BBQ in LA. Juice Recordings front man Wes Smith will be reppin’ the crew on the outdoor stage @ 9:00pm. He won’t be grilling his famous Sriracha wings but we hear he’s going to keep things sizzling’ with the debut of his official remix of The Crystal Method’s Over It Feat. Dia Frampton. But wait, there’s more…he’s also got a gold grill full of unreleased heat including Kalani Dias’ smoking hot Bass Is Up Feat. Treen Da Bean (DJ Fixx Remix) and his own floor shaking remix of Kid Panel & Sport-O’s One More Time on The Pooty Club Records out of Spain. We love it, git your apron on!
More practically speaking, the event is located at the Vaucluse Lounge on Sunset Blvd and runs from 2pm to 2am on Sunday, June 8th. Check the Flyer and link to the Facebook Event Page for more Info. There’s a boatload of local and national talent droppin’ every kind of broken beat under the sun. There’s also a few MC’s and Vocalists bringing the live flava.
Now, aside from being stoked about so many syncopated beats…In what has to be one of the coolest venues in the history of venues…the party is rockin’ at the Vaucluse Lounge in Hollywood. It’s Located in what used to be CHARLIE CHAPLIN’S house, the venue was used as a speakeasy during the prohibition era. Secret tunnels connect it underground to some of Hollywood’s most notorious hotels. The history of the venue is amazing. Rockers from Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones and Janis Joplin are all part of the story. See ya!
